It’s the start of a brand new month. That always means we have a full month of parties to look forward to, as well as some fresh additions to the Eatmepoptart 2022 Spotify playlist.

This month, we have a 25 snazzy tracks thrown in, and we’re pretty sure it’s gonna be fun times blasting it during your pre-game drinking sesh with your closest friends and family. Check out our picks!

1. BEABADOOBEE– “10:36”

Beabadoobee has been on our radar since her early EPs and her fantastic 2020 debut album Fake It Flowers. Her fresh perspectives on 90s grunge has taken the genre to a brand new direction, now re-packaged to be palatable (and delicious!) to new young listeners. “10:36” is the third single from her upcoming sophomore Beatopia and according to her, is a track about a “weird dependency on human contact to sleep.”

2. SOCCER MOMMY – “Feel It All The Time”

Soccer Mommy’s newly released album Sometimes, Forever a definite contender for album of the year. Drawing out the comparisons to all the 90s alt rock big guns the likes of Portishead, PJ Harvey and MBV, she has become one of the best indie-rock songwriters of this generation. “Feel It All The Time” is a country-meets-pop tune that is musically crafted so delicately and cut with with a bittersweet lyrical brilliance. We wanna dance to this and cry at the same time.

3. DRY CLEANING – “Don’t Press Me”

It was only last year that we were blown away by Dry Cleaning’s debut New Long Leg. Five minutes later (or at least that’s what it felt like), they have announced their next album and has released a brand new single “Don’t Press Me”. The post-punk band gives us more of the wonderful same that we’ve loved- nonchalant monotone vocals, irreverent lyrics, with the rest of the band riffing in the background.

4. BLACK MIDI - “Eat Men Eat”

Experimental rock band Black Midi welcomes us into some kinda deep, dark and complex chasm with a new single from their upcoming third album Hellfire. With changing time-signatures, unconventional chord progressions, dramatic mood swings that climaxes into a screaming rage, we are drawn deep into this rock avant-garde number that we may never recover from. More please!

5. YEAH YEAH YEAHS – “Spitting Off The Edge Of The World ft. Perfume Genius”

Yeah Yeah Yeahs is back. Karen O is the queen and we are all not worthy. That is all.
