5 HOT NEW TRACKS YOU'LL BE DANCING TO

Charli XCX

Party season is upon us. After two years, the time is now to grab your 1. dancing shoes 2. friends and 3. teen spirit, and head down to the nearest Eatmepoptart party to boogie your ass off!

We’ ve lost a bit of time with a huge backlog of some great new music during our time apart and are now scrambling to put together a brand new playlist for our parties. Here’s some of our hot picks from this year that you’ll definitely hear at our shows!

Turn the volume up to 11 and prepare to headbang your nights away!

1. CHARLI XCX - “Good Ones”

The first single from her new album CRASH, “Good Ones” is a number designed solely for the dancefloor. The synth-pop and new wave track heads for the jugular from the get-go with 4x4 beats and basslines that shove you straight into butt-shaking mode. This is pure party music that has given us no other option but dance!

2. FOALS - “2001”

We can never say no to anything by Foals. The fresh new single “2001”, is everything we expect from the band. From the disco-infused riffs, funky basslines, and of course that sweet crooning of Yannis Philippakis, “2001” is, hands-down, on it’s way to become the biggest contender for the summer track of the year.

3. LIZZO - “About Damn Time”

Released two months back, Lizzo’s single “About Damn Time”, went viral on Tik Tok with users and creators attempting the accompanied dance moves. Dancing aside (cos we’re so bad at it), we’re loving this track to death! From Lizzo’s positive ‘love your body’ messaging, to her knack for bringing on the irresistible funk in her music, we had no choice but submit and dance (very badly) to the mega-groovy “About Damn Time” forever.

4. ARCADE FIRE - “The Lightning I, II”

The return of the band this year was celebrated by their new album WE. The lead single “The Lightning I, II” is signature Arcade Fire: a two-parter consisting of a slow-building intro (“I”), the leads into a dancefloor destroyer (“II”) which goes straight into our Eatmepoptart playlist. Arcade Fire has ditched their synth-infused sound from the previous albums, recalled their roots, and bounced right back into our faces with a truly body-movin’ banger that has given us the same number of goosebumps as when when we first heard The Suburbs.

5. WET LEG - “Chaise Longue”

There’s something about Wet Leg that’s irreverent, cheeky and dangerously infectious. “Chaise Longue” has burrowed deep into our consciousness last year and still resides there a year later. The monotone vocals, combined with post-punk sonics in the track has kept us so excited in anticipation of unleashing this into the crowds. And now we’re abso-bleeding-lutely ready for that.
