Queens of the Stone Age, Phantogram, TypeWriter
Hello it’s Monday! That means we have some new music to share with you. Have a great week ahead kids!
Queens of the Stone Age – Villains
The seventh studio album from QOTSA- Villains, produced by Mark Ronson, adds a little funk into the hard-hitting heavy signature sounds to the band. It’s currently giving us a little wake-me-up spunk so we stay bouncey throughout the week.
Phantogram – ‘Funeral Pyre’
‘Funeral Pyre’ is the opening track from album Three, which released last year. The video is a POV from a moving car, as you witness scenes on the streets that escalates from heartwarming to some disturbing violence and finally the apocalypse. It’s a little eerie and uncomfortable- we love it!
TypeWriter – ‘Sorry, I Got Carried Away’
SG superband TypeWriter consists of band members (look out for KiDG!) who are part of some of the best bands from the past decades like Oddfellows, Livonia, Electrico and Shelves.
In the new video, you can see the band dressed up a-la Village People, lurking around in dark corners of Singapore and treating shopping trolleys like true gentlemen!
What You’re Feeling Is Not Enough – EP Launch by TypeWriter happens on 9 September at Esplanade Annexe Studio. Get your tickets here.
William plays in a band, has make-out fantasies about Mac DeMarco, and probably has a few more Lizzie McGuire dreams.
This week we feature three more acts set to take the stage during this weekend’s Local Motion festival.
Hannah not-so-secretly loves Britney and has a hilarious tattoo idea and we’re trying very very hard to remove that image from our heads…
For this week’s Monday music, we feature the bands that are performing at the upcoming Local Motion festival.
