Meet The Popettes: William

The most important thing at all the Eatmepoptart parties is the people who turn up. Watching you guys pull shapes on the dancefloor is what keeps the music playing, and what keeps us going. From the club kids to the curious cats, from the rock stars to the pop princesses, we get to know a little more about the kids we meet on the dancefloor, one Popette at a time.

William plays in a band, has make-out fantasies about Mac DeMarco, and probably has a few more Lizzie McGuire dreams.

If you could get drunk with a musician, who would it be and what would you wanna say to him?
Mac DeMarco. I would tell him to just make out with me I guess. I mean, he’s cool enough that you would want to make out with him. I don’t think he’ll mind.

If you could listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Fall Out Boy- ‘Sugar We’re Goin Down’. Music of my youth.

What is the first CD that you bought and what does it represent for you?
Hilary Duff leh! Lizzie McGuire – she’s Hilary Duff. I got into it and liked it because of the Disney show. It was my first time buying a CD, that time my music taste still shit sia.

What is your guilty pleasure song?
‘Chasing Pavements’ by Adele.

We met William in April 2017 at LoveLive, Montreux Jazz Cafe.
