LCD Soundsystem, Alvvays, Alice Glass
Hello it’s Monday! That means we have some new music to share with you. Have a great week ahead kids!
LCD Soundsystem – ‘Tonite’
The reunited LCD Soundsystem released the video of ‘Tonite’, taken off their upcoming album American Dream. 80s aesthetics is making a pretty hard comeback and everything in this video is pretty much from the era: from the starburst to the tape machine that James Murphy is singing into to the very 80s bassline. Needless to way, we love it!
Alvvays – ‘Plimsoll Punks’
‘Plimsoll Punks’ is the third track taken from upcoming sophomore album ‘Antisocialites’, and we can’t help but be excited whenever the band puts out something new. This track is such a catchy, sugar-coated, power-pop number, and is definitely something we would want to hear on the dancefloor all the time.
Alice Glass EP
Earlier this month, ex-Crystal Castles singer Alice Glass surfaced with a new video ‘Without Love‘, and a few weeks after, dropped a self-titled EP. Including ‘Without Love’, the EP is 6 tracks of gems that moves from electro-pop to dark, industrial feels. Some Crystal Castle reminders can be found in ‘Blood Oath’, while you can’t help but make Grime comparisons constantly throughout the EP. A strong effort and let’s hope there’s more to come.
William plays in a band, has make-out fantasies about Mac DeMarco, and probably has a few more Lizzie McGuire dreams.
This week we feature three more acts set to take the stage during this weekend’s Local Motion festival.
Hannah not-so-secretly loves Britney and has a hilarious tattoo idea and we’re trying very very hard to remove that image from our heads…
For this week’s Monday music, we feature the bands that are performing at the upcoming Local Motion festival.
